Bespoke Bag Sampling

Published by Steve Hill on

Once you’ve made the decision to create a custom-made bag, you have several options to explore. Firstly, you can take advantage of our bag design service, which we offer to assist you in the process. Our bag designer will work closely with you to bring your bag design ideas to life. Alternatively, if you have already prepared sketches and mood boards, you can share them with us, and we will interpret and develop them into a tangible bag design through technical drawings and bespoke bag sampling.

If you’re unsure about which fabric to choose for your bespoke bag we can provide advice and guidance based on our extensive knowledge and experience in bag making, helping you select the most suitable fabric for your specific needs.

Furthermore, if you already have a clear idea of the desired finish for your bag, you can send us reference fabric or photos to assist us in sourcing the exact materials you require. We can Pantone match the colours, even locate specific elements like, for example, neon orange bias binding for the finishing touches of your bespoke bag’s internal pocket.

In a recent project, we worked on four different concepts for cooler bags, each representing a unique spirit of summer and winter. These concepts showcased subtle variations and experimented with different branding options, such as embroidery and embossing on leather. Additionally, we incorporated a clever internal thermal fabric, which offers exceptional functionality. In fact, the merits of thermal fabrics are so remarkable that I will be dedicating another post specifically to discuss their miraculous properties.

Upon receiving a detailed specification from our client, complete with fabric references and supporting imagery for finishing cues, we compiled a list of questions and provided commentary on various aspects, including clasp sizes, embroidery possibilities, achievable logo designs, proportions of stitching and leatherwork, as well as colour references. This initial exchange paved the way for a productive discussion between our team and the client, enabling us to finalise the details and proceed with sampling the four options.
